I know. I know.

I'm not feeling guilty. Really, I'm not. I just want to give an explanation as to why I've been absent from my own blog, yet have plenty of time to comment on others. Come to think of it, I've been absent from commenting, too. I have just been busy. And thinking about things. Things I'm not ready to comment on yet. I just finished reading a book called Starving Jesus. It's a very easy read. A little offensive maybe, for some. Definitely out of the box, edge of the envelope and a little wacked. I loved it. It lit a fire under me. It made me want to do something. Anything. I look at people differently. I wonder what's behind every set of eyes I see. That's all on that for now.

I also found a blog that I wanted to link as a "blog of the week" only it would probably be up for the rest of my life. I love it. It's called The Cleaner Plate Club. In an asteroid-sized bit of irony, I found it while browsing through Breed em and Weep. Erica and Trish, if you haven't seen it yet, you'll love it, too.
So that's it. Lots of reading and thinking. Two things that are highly underrated these days.

I'm glad you're reading. It inspires me to do the same. I only wish that it didn't put me to sleep so fast. By the way, loving the Myles Sweeney CDs.

Wait! I don't get it! Where's the asteroid-sized irony in finding the Cleaner Plate Club at BEAW? Let me in on the joke!

Oh. This is good stuff. While sweating bullets trying to come up with a clever response to you, Jenn, I momentarily lost my 1 year old daughter. And yes, all doors that should be closed were open. Even the one to the completely exposed toilet. Alas, I found her with my other 2 watching a video. Whew! I should change the name of my blog to "Breed em and Sleep!"
Love, love, love the podcast. When can I expect more?

I'm so glad you found her!

But, hey, are you trying to throw me off the scent? I require no cleverness, I just can't figure out the irony line and am genuinely curious.

Ms. Cleaner Plate was my roommate in college. I looooove eating over her house, man, she makes a mean brownie too....

I just figured you to be the fish sticks and french fries type and her to be the tilapia and cous cous type. Is that a wrong and terribly rude assumption?

I was kidding- I don't know anything. Which is way less than I knew as a teenager.

I have done further reading. And I have found that you are not the person I thought you were. I am truly sorry. I almost wish you were. I wanted you to be a fish sticks and french fries type because at the end of the day, that's usually what I end up being. I do have tilapia in my freezer that I have been too nervous to thaw out and prepare.

I have posted a correction and am hanging my head in shame.

Oh! I get it now! No shame! Hold your head up high! I AM a fish sticks and french fries person, because the whole kitchen depresses me and I have food dyslexia. I cannot figure out how to make a meal, nothing makes sense in my cupboards, I'm allergic to cookbooks. You were completely correct. But now that Ali has her blog, there is hope for me!

I have attempted tilapia, because it was on sale...reeeeeeeally cheap, um, which is probably never a good reason to buy fish. But it wasn't half bad...
