A conversation between Anna and my mom while I was on vacation...

Mom: "Anna, the pizza is ready. Do you want the crust or the center?" (My mom always makes her pizzas on rectangular cookie sheets)

Anna: "I'll take the cemetery."

Mom: "I said, center, not cemetery. Do you even know what a cemetery is?"

Anna: "Yeah. It's a place for old people and Nunie and Nanie go there."

Observation of the day: April does not like watermelon. Can you believe it? I tried to give her some at Aaron and Rachel's the other night and she refused me. I thought she was just full, but sure enough, tonight, I gave her some more and she made her yucky face and pushed my hand away. I didn't know there were any children that didn't like wet, sticky, sweet stuff. It didn't even have seeds in it! Oh well, maybe it'll grow on her.

I was posting a comment on here, but I decided it was too good for just a comment. I decided to make it a post on my blog. I guess you'll have to go there to read it.

That's funny. After I read your last post about Jocie, I was going to tell you this story in the comment, but then decided to just post it!

I hate watermelon too. It smells so good & I try it again at the beginning of every summer & every summer, I still hate it.

That's who it was! Fran and I couldn't think of who we knew that doesn't like watermelon. So, let's see, that's watermelon, cherries, bananas. Any other fruits you're not a fan of?

I think I may have told you this already, but one day we were passing by a cemetary and Lindsey asked if we knew anyone in there. I'm still laughing!

Did you see the yummy recipe on The Cleaner Plate Club....I think I might institue Friday Pizza Nights at my house also.....just imagine, roasted red bell peppers, caramelized onions, feta cheese, fresh spinach, garlic slices, artichoke hearts, olive tapenade, ricotta cheese, black olives, the list is endlessly delicious!

Stop it, you're killing me! The church is on a fast and everyone is fasting different things. Elliott and I are fasting all animal products and refined sugar. I saw that recipe and I concluded that it just wouldn't be the same without all that gooey cheese. So, I will also be instituting Friday night pizza and movie night as soon as the fast is over!!!
