Not so trivial pursuit

Okay. Most of you probably didn't know that I like trivia. Whenever Elliott and I go on road trips, with anyone, we have this thing we do where we have a quiz at the end of each day. The quiz is cumulative, too, so by the end of the trip, you have to be able to recall stuff from the whole trip. Totally trivial, but really fun! I came across this site while I was wandering through blog land. It's a test to see how many countries you know out of the 192 that are members of the United Nations. Just start typing and as soon as you've spelled one right, it starts a list below the place where you type. You don't have to hit enter. You get 10 minutes and then it gives you a chance to see how "well" you did. I'll go ahead and tell you that I only got 35 the first time I did it. What good is it to know all those countries, you ask? Well, I'm sure if you were ever on Jeopardy it would come in handy, or at a party......of total nerds, or if you're up late and can't sleep just start naming countries. That would work better than Lunesta for me!

That was pretty interesting. I got 24- more than I thought I would.

I got 33...with Cole shouting out a few here and there! Wow! That was hard...the worst part about it was the big timer at the top of the page...it made me really nervous.

Yeah. That made me nervous, too. I hated to look at the list after I was done. I knew a lot of those, I just forgot. Erica didn't look at the list on purpose so she could take it again later. I looked at the list, the whole list, then took it again and the sad thing is that I only got 10 more on my second try.

I got 58 the first time. I got about 10 more the second time. Back when I was a Rotary Exchange Student we actually had to identify all the UN Members on a map and spell them correctly...apparently I've lost a few brain cells in he last 11 years.
